Information Technology Technician

Geiger Ready-Mix, a family owned and operated business with over 75 years of ready-mix experience, is seeking an IT Technician to support our growing company. The IT Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining technology and tools, including computer workstations, field equipment and associated software. The IT Technician will also be the main point of contact for employees experiencing computer issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in office and field locations, remotely or onsite when necessary.

· Assist with resolution of a wide variety of technical problems ensuring system integrity and user productivity.

· Perform installation, configuration and updates of system hardware and software.

• Troubleshoot end user and network hardware, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, and other products as needed.
• Manage workstations, network servers, technology tools and accounts.
• Responsibilities include driving to other locations with mileage reimbursement.
• Job requires occasional on-call hours as well as support outside of core business hours.

Qualifications:

Education

· Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.

· 2 years experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.

Skills/Experience

· Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress in high-pressure situations.

· Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.

· Experience with networking and Wi-Fi.

· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Operating systems and Office.

· Experience and/or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directory and virtualization.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
